Will Betts, Junior Captain enters gruelling endurance event

Jul 07, 2016

Will Betts our Junior Captain has decided to enter a gruelling endurance event organised by the Royal Marines to raise money for the Captains charity...

When he gets back from Cambodia in August he is taking part in a one day event organised by police officers and the Royal Marines in the Cheviots, Northumberland. He has to complete 30 miles in under 9 hours, carrying a 30 pound pack...

This replicates the final challenge Royal Marine Commandos face to qualify for their coveted green beret... It's not quite rowing to Paris but it is extremely hard!

Will has to donate to COPS and the Royal Marines veterans charities to take part, but will split proceeds into three giving a third to the club charity of Alzheimer's.

The link to the web page with more photos / logos / etc is at www.cops30miler.org

You can help Will Betts raise money for this great cause by donating directly to their fundraising page - https://www.justgiving.com/will-betts1?utm_source=Sharethis&utm_medium=fundraisingpage&utm_content=will-betts1&utm_campaign=pfp-email.
